Technological Developments

THREE TECHNOLOGICAL DEVELOPMENTS, TWO OF THEM IN THE FIELD OF AGRICULTURAL BIOTECHNOLOGY AND ONE IN ENZYMATIC TECHNOLOGY WITH PHARMACEUTICAL APPLICATION.

1) Development of technology for the elaboration of a solid bio fertilizing, for leguminous plants. Partial or total substitute of nitrogen chemical fertilizers this technology was based on the nitrogen fixing capacity (symbiotic) of the bacterial sorts rhizobium and bradyrhizobium, of its massive growth and incorporation to an adapted organic support for its growth, consisted of:

  a) Constitution of a specialized stock strains of the bacterial sorts mentioned supra, mainly of the sorts that infect to the commonly well-known leguminous like:

   - soy

   - beans
   - peanut
   - pea

   - lentil

   b) design of the microbiological process for the commercial obtaining of a bio fertilizing, solid product, for leguminous, including the selection of the support (to carrier) for the mentioned product.

   c) Tests in field (Mexico States of Sinaloa, Sonara, Tamaulipas, State of Mexico, Chiapas and Guatemala), to evaluate the comparative efficiency of the product and to optimize the dose of application of the same one.

   d) Obtaining of necessary the governmental registries for the commercialization of the product. e) basic engineering of the producing plant of solid bio fertilizing for leguminous.

   e) Basic engineering of the producing plant of solid bio fertilizing for leguminous

2) development of technology for the elaboration of a liquid bio fertilizing for leguminous plants, partial or total substitute of nitrogen chemical fertilizers this technology had the same bases that the one of the previous point (solid bio fertilizing), and consisted of:

   a) Design of the microbiological process for the commercial obtaining of a liquid bio fertilizing product for leguminous, including the selection of the support (to carrier) for the mentioned product.

  b) Field tests (Sinaloa and Sonora), to evaluate the comparative efficiency of the product and to optimize its dose of application.

   c) Prosecution of the patents and sanitary registrations before the Government to obtaining registries and permissions for the commercialization of the product.

   d) Basic engineering of the producing plant of liquid bio fertilizing for leguminous.

3) Development of technology for an enzymatic process of production of penicillanic 6-amino acid (6-apa). This technology was based on the hydrolytic capacity of the enzyme penicillin-amidase, on natural penicillin consisted of:

   a) Systematic evaluation of different commercially available enzymes, for natural penicillin hydrolysis

   b) Kinetic characterization and design of the enzymatic process for the obtaining of 6-amino-penicilánico acid (6-apa).

   d) Basic engineering of the producing plant of 6-amino-penicilánico acid, by means of the mentioned technology.

Both, the first and second developments were carried out under contract like chemistry employee Lucava, S.A. of c.v. (Stauffer Chemical Company, Mexico), the third of them like employee of Corporative Novum, S.A. of C. V. Thus, only these companies will be able to provide more information on the matter by the request of interested part.
